Women Solidarity is one of our main focuses in Mizizi Ya Mafanikio. This reflects our core belief that women are the heart of the community and nation-wide changes always start with their freedom and strength. In Tanzania, women is among the most underutilized population in the country together with youth.
According to a report of USAID from January 2023, women and youth in Tanzania is among the most underutilized people in the country. Women are also among the population that is highest represented when is comes to poverty, often due to lack of work, access to education during early years and they are the primary family care takers. Studies show that by giving women access to education, ownership of assets, possibilities for decision-making, and medical facilities, causes a significant decrease in poverty and multidimensional poverty.
At Mizizi Ya Mafanikio, we strive to support women in their fight for equality and a stronger position in society in Tanzania. We want to empower women to pursue their goals and question societal norms.
At Mizizi Ya Mafanikio, we have partnered with a college in Arusha where we are currently supporting 18 young women between the age of 17 to 22 through a 2 year program at the college.
The 2 year program that the women are attending, is designed to be able to provide them with jobs after graduation. They can choose between studying IT and Computer Science, Tour Guide or Hotel Management. They also get to study English, Life Skills, Interview trainings, etc. Everything to prepare them for future employment in two blooming and growing industries in Tanzania that has previously been more male dominant.
These women, who are all coming from outside of Arusha, are provided with housing, food, utilities, sanitary products and tuition over the duration of the next 2 years. This allows them to focus on their education at our local partnered college at no individual cost.

Successfully completing the graduation of our first classes and manage to onboard new students.
Mizizi Ya Mafanikio will follow-up on completion of results of the students, successfully finding jobs within the chosen field, etc.

Our goal is to provide open a second house for young women and be able to sponsor them through education.
With minimum two houses running, we can sponsor up to 40 students yearly through higher education.

Our goal is to provide 100 women with education and career advancement.
This is or short-term goal, but the ambitions of Mizizi Ya Mafanikio is higher then this. Our objective is to get women into education and the workforce to get Tanzania to blossom.
Education is a Right, not a Privilege!
